This refrigerant is compressed into a high-pressure gas, cooled in the condenser, and then expands through a valve, causing it to turn into a liquid. The liquid refrigerant then flows through the evaporator coil, where it absorbs heat from the air inside the car, which is then blown back into the cabin.
